D-Day in Normandy [...]: D-Day in Normandy
As every year, Normandy is celebrating this week-end the D-Day of June 1944. If you want to join the festivities, the Kawan Village le Cormoran welcomes you. On the 6th of June 1944, the allies landed on the beaches of Manche and Calvados. These beaches have kept their code names of the time : Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, etc. Villages of the coast have been marked by these fights. especially Sainte-Mère- Église by the Kawan Village le Cormoran which became famous with its paratrooper who landed on the top of the church. Around the 6th of June, many festivities take place in the area: shows with old vehicules, walks in the famous places, concerts with music from this time, firworks, etc.On Kawan Village le Cormoran you will meet men in uniform and american jeeps. Kawan Village Les Bois de Bardelet is a particularly enjoyed campsite for fishermen. It must be said that this campsite, where special care is given to green spaces, has a beautiful fishing pond. During the spring school holidays, from 19 April to 12 May, entertainment on this subject will be introduced for the whole family and especially for the younger ones with a kids club and activities related to fishing: introduction and development with a leader and equipment is provided. Kawan Village la Grande Tortue, located a few kilometresf from Blois, in the Loire Valley, continues to improve in order to offer more comfort to the campers. So after renovating the pool, it now offers its campers two new services: rental electric cars and individual bathrooms. As of spring 2013, la Grande Tortue offers you the opportunity to rent two all-electric Peugeot Ion cars. One hundred kilometres are included in the offer and the driving range between charges is 100 km. Four heated individual bathrooms will also be available for rent. These bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a washbasin, a toilet, a sink and a refrigerator. Given the limited number of cars and individual bathrooms, a reservation is required to take advantage of these offers.
